Rare series of three fractal resin lamps with fiberglass lampshades from the 1970s
maximum height 53 cm diameter 17 cm
Fractal resin is the result of advanced know-how. Born at the end of the 1950s, it is the result of complex chemical processes, resulting from high temperature firing and successive polishing. Which gives an almost magical result; glittery, fragmented, filled with bubbles or crystals, sometimes including inclusions. These are always unique pieces. Worn by artists such as Marie-Claude de Fouquières, Pierre Giraudon, François Godebski, Franco Gavagni and Pierre Charbin, who were its precursors, it offers freedom of expression and a range of dazzling colors. A sort of antidote to gloom, this material still fascinates today.
