Impressive pair of large, highly decorative authentic Japanese Satsuma table lamps (face to face).
Decorated with a magnificent Japanese geisha and a male figure, on the reverse fishing for carp, and a boy in kimono in a landscape.
Beautifully decorated with original gilding, they are in overall very good original condition. The decoration is beautifully painted in fresh colors, with no repairs, retouching or cracks.
Total height: 60 cm.
Height to top of vase: 34 cm.
Base diameter: 16 cm. Shade diameter: 41 cm.
Japan, circa 1925.
The lamps have been rewired with a new textile cable.
