A very beautiful, large table lamp from the French brand Le Dauphin, "Vérone" model, "Lotus" lamp, item number 1216, with the original label still attached to the base. Vintage from the 1970s. Features a substantial burgundy rectangular base with a glossy lacquer finish, resting on a square gilded metal pedestal and topped with a spectacular stylized artichoke motif in gilded brass. A beautiful, highly decorative design that blends the geometric lines of the base with sculptural plant forms, typical of Le Dauphin’s creations from this period. E27 socket, European plug; lamp is in working condition.
46.5 cm tall with the socket, 40 cm tall without the socket. Very good overall condition. A few rare small spots and signs of wear on the gilded metal. The burgundy trim plates show some slight cracking along certain edges, but these remain inconspicuous. The base has a slight amount of play and can rotate slightly; the lampshade retaining ring is cracked, but this does not affect its stability or use. Weighs approximately 2 to 3 kg.
