Exceptional and rare Art Deco modernist piano lamp, model no. 58, attributed to a prototype
Designed by Le Chevallier and created by Koechlin, this articulated lamp perfectly illustrates the technical audacity and aesthetic elegance of the period. This adjustable model is believed to be the only one known to the artist, making it a unique piece of great historical and artistic value.

    Aluminum and ebonite
Switch and dimmer allowing the entire assembly to be tilted 45°
Signed with the artist's cartouche: "DÉPOSÉ JLC RK"
Provenance: Private collection, in the same family since 1935
    1929

Regular restoration carried out by Raphaël Armand, with replacement of parts and mechanisms with period elements. Certificate issued by the restorer himself, one of the leading specialists in the restoration of 20th-century lighting fixtures, whose work includes work on the Paulin Salon at the Élysée Palace, Mallet-Stevens' Villa Cavrois, and Eileen Gray's Villa E-1027.

Visible signs of wear are visible on the pivots and the back (ebonite).
