ROUSSE - ONE NAME, TWO CERAMISTS

The French duo Loraine Savary & Stéphanie d'Ardier create their works by hand: sculptural lighting fixtures, small sculptural furniture, and bas-reliefs. Sharing a taste for simplicity and restraint, the artisans have created their own unique vocabulary.
Their experimentation revolves primarily around the interplay of light, the pursuit of a certain purity of line, and the textures of raw, beveled clay.

From sketches of new ideas to pieces fresh from the kiln, including the shaping of the clay, the ceramic artists create unique pieces together, reflecting their diverse and complementary sensibilities.
