This stained-glass window depicts a lansquenet leaning on a swordfish larger than himself.
Lansquenets were German infantrymen who served in France and elsewhere in Europe as mercenaries in the 15th and 16th centuries.
Painted with grisaille and enamels, some of the colored glass is acid-etched. The figure is inserted in the middle of a glasswork of colored diamonds. The whole is set in lead.
Three cracks on the diamonds.
