A carved and patinated walnut "souvenirs de campagne" box signed J.Bozon and dated 1919.
It is still very much in the "Art Nouveau" spirit, and is very well preserved, including its closure. It is dedicated to his mother Jeanne on the lid.
Jean Bozon-Verduraz (May 29, 1889 - June 21, 1942) was an ace of the French air force during the First World War, born and died in Saint-Étienne de Cuines.
