    WINCHESTER MODEL 1893 PUMP-ACTION SHOTGUN.
    United States, 19th century, year of manufacture 1894.
    Steel and wood.
    Overall length: 123 cm – Barrel length: 30 inches.
    Round, smoothbore barrel, marked on the top: MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS. CO. NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. MODEL 1893 PAT. NOV. 25.1890. The caliber is also indicated: 12 gauge.
    The side is marked WINCHESTER MODEL 1893.
    Receiver with a blued finish and numbered 8396.
    Wooden stock with original varnish, known as a "half pistol grip" stock, steel buttplate. The pump action is grooved.
    This shotgun is in very good condition. The bore is in excellent condition. The blued finish remains on 70% of the receiver, the rest has a patina that has turned tobacco-colored.
    The mechanics are perfect, and the screw heads are unmarked.

    The Model 1893 is Winchester's first pump-action shotgun, manufactured from 1893 to 1897.
