This British Air Raid Precautions (ARP) guard bell was used during World War II by the British Army. If a gas attack was suspected, a sound signal would have been given locally by means of the ratchet of an ARP guard and the clear signal would have been announced by the ringing of hand bells, such as this.

A similar bell is on display at the Imperial War Museum in Manchester, England (IWM North).

Delivery possible worldwide. Worldwide delivery.

This bell can be seen in our store in Bordeaux, 64 rue Notre-Dame, 33000 Bordeaux.
