    PAIR OF ALGERIAN SPURS (CHÂBIR)
    - Wrought-iron spurs with long, flanged shafts, rectangular strap loops and round, then flanged, shafts featuring applied silver inserts, chased and worked in repoussé with foliate scroll motifs.
    Two coral cabochons enliven the heels on each. ABE condition with traces of use.
    - The spiked spurs used throughout much of the Islamic world evolved directly from late antique examples. This pair of spurs comes from North Africa, Algiers or Morocco, late 19th century, richly inlaid with silver.
