World War II periscope.
It consists of a cylindrical, straight case with a 45° mirror at each open end: light enters through the upper end and exits at the lower end, near the observer's eye. This optical instrument allowed soldiers to see the battlefields while remaining concealed in the trenches.
Retractable wooden handle.
