JAPAN - Edo period (1603 - 1868).
Maedate for samurai kabuto composed of two large horns in cut-out and openwork copper, the stylized tip of the Fudo-Myoo sword and a long-horned oni head with cut-out ears in black and red lacquered wood, its eyes gilded, its canines in metal.
The tip of one horn is very slightly missing.
Dimensions: 31 x 41.5 x 4 cm.
The presentation kabuto is not sold with the maedate.
