Antique mirror from the Qajar period, Iran, late 19th/early 20th century, entirely covered with repoussé silver leaf, floral motif, blue enamel cartouches depicting various figures.
The back is beautifully crafted with a fauna and flora motif.
A good size; this type of mirror is usually much smaller.
There is some loss of blue enamel in places, a slight dent in the upper right corner, pitting of the mirror, signs of wear, and a 2cm section of missing metal at the bottom—perfectly normal for an object over 100 years old.
