Very important mirror frame in carved, gilded and patinated wood with rich acanthus leaf and scroll decoration in beautiful symmetry around a rectangular frame containing a silver mercury mirror.

Italian work, particularly Roman, from the late 17th century. This work can be compared with that of cabinetmaker Andrea Brustolon (Belluno 1662 - 1732) or his workshop, but also with that of Andrea Fantoni (1659-1734).

Condition report : In good condition with touch-ups to the original gilding. Central scroll reinforced at rear. Mirror with fairly noticeable pitting and missing parts.
