This important gilded wood mirror dating from the mid-19th century.
Dark with authentic mercury glass, it has a large molded frame with a groove highlighted by a frieze of knockout patterns.
The upper part of this mirror is decorated with leaves and flowers.
The pediment represents large acanthus leaves, again accompanied by flowers and foliage.
In view of its age and its perfect state of conservation, the normal wear of its gold leaves adds charm to this important Napoleon III mirror.
