Large 18th-century Venetian mirror with carved and gilded wooden frames, richly decorated with vegetal scrolls and floral garlands. The pediment is carved with shell motifs.
The frames are fitted with mercury mirrors engraved with bouquets and enhanced with gilded wood.
    Venice, late 18th/early 19th century.
Please note some minor damage to the frames and the upper left half of the central glass (see photos). We preferred to keep the original mercury mirror and the engraved and colored Venetian glass rather than replace everything. A very spectacular piece. The gilding has been cleaned and restored where there were some losses. Therefore, the entire piece is in excellent condition.
