Louis XVI style wall mirror in stuccoed wood, gilded with gold leaf, dating from the second quarter of the 19th century.

Rectangular frame with rounded upper corners, characteristic of French production from the period 1830-1870. The edge of the ice is delimited by a row of beads (rosary) in relief; the body of the frame has finely engraved floral motifs. The recently restored gold leaf gilding reveals the underlying red and orange bowls in places, testifying to respect for the traditional technique. The old ice, probably mercury, has a peripheral patina with slight oxidation, consistent with the period. The solid wood back with period boards confirms original French manufacturing. The whole is in perfect condition following the restoration. Dimensions: H. 75 cm × L. 65 cm. Weight: 10 kg. Price: 550 EUR.
