This is an adorable 19th-century triptych. The main structure is made of ebonite (a hard material resulting from the vulcanization of rubber with a high proportion of sulfur, similar to ebony in color and consistency).
It opens and forms a mirror in three places. The sides are painted with a hand-crafted floral decoration, typical of Napoleon III.
The whole piece is in good condition, considering the period. There are traces of wear and dirt due to use, slight oxidation, and small scratches on the mirrors.
