He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Aubusson, after which he was appointed director of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Moullins and Lille. He became a permanent painter at Galerie Domec in Paris with Lapoujade, Wogensky and Dagan, supported by Jean Pauhlan.
