He studied graphic arts and advertising during the war from 1940 to 1944. He worked as a layout artist in the publishing industry. At the same time, he began to paint and exhibit his work.
Lyrical abstraction in the 1950s. A lifelong devotee of painting and the art world, from the École Supérieure des Arts Estienne to an impressive bibliography of works by Evelyne Artaud, Pierre Cabanne, René Deroudille, Jean-Jacques Levêque, Paul Santenac ..... He has benefited from several state grants, enabling him to spend 3 months in London and 1 year in Amsterdam, among other places. He has often exhibited abroad: New York, Prague, ..... but also in France and in several famous galleries: Zunini, L'oeil écoute, Paul Facchetti, Art actuel, Galerie Garnier, Geneviève Thevenos and Galerie Bernheim...
At first, he painted a world of dark, earthy backgrounds. Then he opened up to light. The painter lets go of his perception of "landscape". Brushstrokes lengthen and lighten, to capture the idea of movement as closely as possible. His painting has sometimes been described as "abstract impressionism".

The emotional charge of the gesture remains subject to an allusive, suggestive dynamism, full of restrained subtlety and tactile expressivity, restoring perception rather than possession, and allowing us to participate intimately in its blossoming.
His vision of the landscape, where in the ballet of forms we read the bright or tender signs of the hour and the day, is above all poetry; each painting is a rhythmic texture where the impulses of the heart and the reactions of the senses are delivered and propagated.
