OIL ON PANEL 119x78cm...
Jacques Nestlé was born in Saarbrücken in 1907. In 1925, he moved to Berlin, where he remained until 1933.
From post-cubism to geometric abstraction, these years of training and work in the artistic effervescence of Berlin's Bauhaus and avant-garde movements left their mark on his work. He exhibited at the Berliner Secession, where his work was noticed. An anti-Nazi activist, in 1933 he left Germany for France, where he became an interior designer.
He never gave up painting, but never showed his work again.
