Pierre Pallut is one of the heirs to the long tradition of French painting. The task he assigned to himself, and which remains constant in his pictorial career, consists in satisfying a continual need: to deepen his understanding of the possibilities of painting, the real subject of his paintings.
From 1948, the harmony and musicality of his palette attracted the attention and esteem of Bonnard and Braque. Such support sheds light on his plastic and spiritual commitment. Faithful to the emotions, worries and discipline of the beginning, Pallut develops his long and patient quest for Light, on the fringes of schools and fashions. The obsession is pushed to the point of eliminating all artifice, sticking to a strictly necessary use of a range of colors limited to a few pigments: to bring out this very particular light "of a barely audible dawn"
