A super lakeside watercolour landscape by the well listed Forli school artist Maceo Casadei. Casadei was drafted during World War I , and sent to the front (he is one of the " Boys of '99 "). In 1917 , he painted the work entitled Ritirata di Caporetto , today in the collections of the Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì e della Romagna .
His works spans from oil portraits to landscapes. Here is an example of a simple watercolour but in his own unmistakable and distinctive style.
