Amazing and curious H.S.T. painted on either side, on the same canvas, dated and signed by the same painter, H. Lelievre. Lelievre.
The first, dated 1919, depicts a flamboyant bucolic landscape in a post-impressionist style.
The second, dated 1921, offers a Mediterranean landscape, probably "Little Africa", seen from the road to Beaulieu on the Côte d'Azur.
Curiously, a period photo shows it in its superb setting, in the home of the Marquis de Panneboeuf, who owned it. History has it that, on reflection, he opted for the former. The photo and a certificate of origin will be given to the buyer. With frame, width 110 cm, height 112 cm.
