Oil painting on panel (pitchpin) by the Belgian artist Tony Reniers (1923-2013). Entitled "Au loin Provence" signed and dated 1992. This prolific artist loved and painted Provence with passion. Adept of working on the ground he explored the landscapes with his brushes and his palette. Pupil of Lucien Hock 1899-1972, he is referenced in the dictionary of Belgian painters by Paul Piron published in 2003 and a monograph is dedicated to him Tony Reniers or nature revealed/Benoit Goffin.
