A graduate of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Caen, where he studied under Louis-Édouard Garrido, Pierre Letellier chose not to attend the traditional Beaux-Arts de Paris. He has always strived to live and work outside the capital, attached to his Caen roots. In the mid-1970s, he left France to settle in Switzerland, only to return to France twenty years later.
He has exhibited in New York, Tokyo, Caracas, London, Brussels and Paris.
