Large painting representing boats in a port (Bordeaux?). This oil on canvas is
signed by the painter Hermann Delpech born in Bordeaux in 1865, died in 1918, dated 1886.
Hermann Delpech was a pupil of Dupuis in Bordeaux then he entered the School of Fine Arts in
Paris where he trained with Gustave Boulanger, Jean Léon Gérome and Léon Bonnat.
He exhibits regularly at the Paris Salon and also in Bordeaux. He is a painter
landscapes (Bordeaux region and Arcachon), genre, still lifes and flowers.
His works can be found in the museums of Bordeaux and Cognac in particular.
