Edmond Valès was born in Pau in 1928. He studied at the Nantes School of Fine Arts and then at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Edmond Valès returned from the USA in 1946 and obtained a position as a drawing teacher at the Poeymirau High School in Meknes. He taught at the Paul Valéry High School in Meknes until 1978.
He was a Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters and an Officer of the Order of Academic Palms.
Throughout his career, he exhibited in Morocco and France.
