    An Orientalist painter with a Fauve tendency, Julien Le Bordays lived around Algiers until 1962. He exhibited Orientalist subjects in Algiers at the Salon des Artistes Orientalistes Algériens in 1914, at the Salon d'Automne in 1919, at the Artistic Exhibition of French Africa in 1930 as well as in Paris at the Salon d'Automne in 1912, 1913 and 1920 and at the Colonial Exhibition of 1931.
