Born on October 27, 1938 in Mostaganem, Algeria,
Gérard Diaz studied at the School of Fine Arts in Oran from 1954 to 1957 then at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris from 1957 to 1961.
Lives and works in Paris since 1957.
He has been teaching since 1971 at the School of Fine Arts in Rouen.
