Painting on oil on panel realized by Georges Crinier (1808 - 1869).
The painting is signed at the bottom left and his name is given behind.

This painting depicts a rural scene, a scene of daily life where a farmer is loading haystacks on a cart pulled by 2 white horses. There is a play of shadow between the two horses. In the background, the landscapes are represented in the romantic gour.

The painter :
Georges Crinier born in Le Mans (France) on 19 germinal year XI, died in this city on 22 February 1882. This artist exhibited several paintings at the Paris Salon and published various articles criticizing painting and music.
