Painter of military subjects and genre scenes, born in Paris on June 13, 1848, son of the engraver Alexandre-Jean-Louis Jazet (1814–1897).
A pupil of Félix-Joseph Barrias, he made his debut in 1869 at the Paris Salon, of which he became a member in 1886.
He also illustrated books including History of the military academy of Saint-Cyr by an old saint-cyrien and The confession of a child of the century, by Alfred de Musset.
