On the back of the canvas is painted a beautiful portrait of a woman.
Lucien Henri Grangérard was born in Nancy in 1880.
He studied there at the Beaux-Arts, then went to Paris where he became a student of Bonnat, then of Lefebvre and Merson. He also attended Jullian Academy.
