    An important, ancient painting depicting a sacred conversation, with the Virgin and Child, Saint Joseph, and another saint (probably Saint Agnes). Dating back to the 16th or early 17th century, oil on canvas, contemporary frame. Bolognese School. The coral bracelet and necklace are an important and common iconographic detail in Renaissance and Baroque art and were believed to protect newborns from disease. Of beautiful pictorial quality, dimensions 106 x 84 cm including frame, dimensions 95 x 72 cm painting only.
