Art Nouveau Basket with Child, German Biscuit Porcelain, Late 19th Century

Created in German ceramic workshops and factories, this charming porcelain group dates from the late 19th century.

Cast in white biscuit porcelain, this group depicts a young boy in a bohemian boater hat, sitting happily on a boat—the basket—with raised woven wicker motifs. The scene is set in a charming, Victorian-inspired frame, more akin to the Romantic style of late 19th-century Germany.

Its design, blending functionality and romantic decoration, makes it a beautiful collector's item or a perfect addition to a classic table setting. This charming little basket was originally intended as a trinket dish, a small cachepot, or a decorative sugar bowl.

Fast and careful shipping to France, Europe, and worldwide.
