Porcelain figure of a lady playing with her cat in her arms, painted in colours, round base with gold rim. Model created by Jakob Ungerer around 1881. Mark of the blue crossed swords and incised model number L 163. Model listed in the Meissen - Bergman catalogue

The sculptor Jacob Ungerer (1840-1920) studied at the Munich Academy of Arts. Between 1880 and 1903, the Meissen manufactory acquired a number of models from his hand, the first ones still in the Rococo style, the last ones however showing the clarity and soul of Art Nouveau.
