    *Camillo Marcolini-Ferreti appointed in 1778 director of arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, as well as director of the Meissen porcelain factory. It was under his direction between 1775 and 1814 that the trademark of Meissen porcelain was adopted, the two blue swords crossed with a star, known as the Marcolini brand.
