Beautiful Sèvres blue plate with gilding on the marli.
This emblematic cobalt blue has been the signature color of the Manufacture's decorations since the 18th century, and has since acquired international renown.
This iconic color is applied in three successive brush coats with intermediate drying.
The fine gold decorations are hand-painted.
In the center is a Minerva head.
On the back of the plate, the signature and stamp "Manufacture Nationale Doré à Sèvres".
Very good condition.
