Large white porcelain tea and coffee service with molded basket-weave decoration in the mass, and decorated with floral baskets, plants and flowers, painted in manganese monochrome and enhanced with gilding.

It includes a coffee pot, a teapot, a sugar bowl, a bowl, 4 tea cups and saucers and 4 coffee cups and saucers.

The set is marked in gilding on the reverse with two crossed swords surmounted by a star (Marcolini mark).

Good condition; note a restoration to the coffee pot grip, a chip on one cup and one saucer, and a broken saucer glued back together (see last 4 photos).

Marcolini took over the Meissen factory from 1774 to 1816 and introduced a Japanese style.
