An Empire-period, egg-shaped pitcher or teapot made of Paris porcelain, decorated in the Empire style with white and gold friezes of lozenges and palmettes. Early 19th century, circa 1800–1810. This antique piece is unsigned, but a year ago we sold pieces from the same set that were signed.
Based in Paris, the Nast manufactory was founded in 1784 and remained in operation until 1830. It supplied French high society and several European courts.
The piece is in excellent condition. The gilding is perfectly preserved after 220 years.
