A large covered vase with a blue speckled enamel base, decorated with an eagle in black and gold cloisonné enamel; signed Montières.

Perfect condition; very slight wear to the gold grip on the lid.

The Montières factory (1917-1933) in Picardy commissioned illustrator and designer Guy Arnoux (active at Montières from 1921 to 1923) to create this vase under the direction of chief decorator Maurice Dudicourt.
