Superb pair of Imari porcelain dishes, of Japanese origin and dating from the 19th century. These dishes feature a slightly scalloped shape with rich hand-painted decoration in traditional Imari tones: cobalt blue, orange-red and gold.
Each dish is adorned with a refined floral design, with a flowering vase in a central medallion, surrounded by stylized floral motifs and geometric elements. The backs of the dishes are also decorated with blue motifs.

Dimensions: 31 cm diameter (12.2 inches)

Condition: Very good overall condition. One of the plates has a small chip on the edge (see photos for details).
