This beautiful bird is made of polychrome porcelain and is marked Bing & Grondahl made fun Danemark 1980.
Bing & Grøndahl was a Danish porcelain manufacturer, founded in 1853 by sculptor Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl and merchant brothers Meyer Hermann Bing and Jacob Herman Bing. The Gull series of dinner services became known as Denmark's national dinner service in the 1950s, with one in ten households owning one. In 1987, Bing & Grøndahl merged with the Royal Porcelain Factory (Den Kongelige Porcelænsfabrik) to become Royal Copenhagen.
