Six stoneware plates from Ratilly / J&N Pierlot / Puisaye. Norbert Pierlot (1919–1979): French actor and ceramicist, born in Algeria. With a background in Lyon's theater scene, he turned to pottery in Burgundy. With his wife Jeanne Pierlot (1917–1988), née Boutet de Monvel, they restored the Château de Ratilly in 1951, which became a major center for ceramics and contemporary art. Together, they left their mark on the history of French ceramics through their innovative approach and their commitment to passing on their art. Diameter 19 cm. Height with rim 2 cm.
