A very pretty little spherical vase in glazed terracotta, traditionally handcrafted in Slovakia, probably from Pozdišovce. It bears a barely legible incised mark or signature on the base, seemingly forming the letters "AN". Dating from the 1920s-1930s, Art Deco period. It has a lovely, rounded shape with a wide, flared neck, entirely hand-decorated with horizontal bands of white, black/dark brown, green, and gray on a brown background, with a central frieze of stylized yellow, blue, and green motifs. The workmanship is fine and meticulous.

16 cm high and 16 cm in maximum diameter. In very good overall condition. Nothing noteworthy except for two tiny chips on the base, one slightly located on the outer rim, both very discreet. Approximately 700g.
