Beautiful bronze sculpture representing the fight of two birds, signed J. Moigniez.
Jules Moigniez born in Senlis in 1835 died in Saint-Martin du Tertre on May 29, 1894.
The career of this sculptor began at the Universal Exhibition of 1855.
He seems particularly fond of birds, which undoubtedly explains his studies with Paul Comoléra, a bird specialist.
He exhibited regularly at the Salon from 1859 to 1892 and enjoyed great success not only in France but also abroad, notably in the United States.
Beautiful patina highlighting the fine details.
Very good state.
