Maurice PROST (Paris, 1894-1967)
Having lost an arm during the First World War, he abandoned his profession as a jewelry engraver to dedicate himself to his passion: animal sculpture, becoming a direct carving sculptor.
From 1921, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, as well as at the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Artistes Indépendants. In 1931, he presented his impressive life-size bronze Black Panther at the Colonial Exposition.
