A beautiful pair of large, massive, rectangular, canted plaques, depicting in deep bas-relief a pair of black Camargues, with lyre-shaped horns. We have several manades in the area.
Each signed Fratin 1864, one of his last works.... Christophe FRATIN (1801-1864).
Each of these plates, measuring 26cm x 19cm x 3cm, is set in deep molded walnut frames with carved spandrels, which are the original, specially designed ones. The wood has played a little, but is very solid with a beautiful patina.
    Dimensions: 37cm x 29cm x 7.5cm. Gross weight: 3.4kg each sculpture.
