This 1930 mascot representing an Egyptian dancer is French-made. It is signed Alonzo on the base with the mention Etling Paris on the edge of the base.

The marble base was added later.
Dominique Alonzo (active between 1912 and 1926) was a French sculptor representative of the Art Deco period. She exhibited her works from 1912 and 1926 at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français. Her detailed statuettes mainly feature female figures dressed in long dresses, sometimes nudes, and more rarely male figures.
The subject is in good overall condition. Note slight dents on the right knee, traces of rubbing and wear on the patina, and a chip on the marble with regluing visible in one of our photos.
Our numerous photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For condition, please examine the photos carefully.
