Beautiful bronze print with a medal patina representing the Condottiere Bartolomeo Colleoni. Originally this bronze equestrian statue stands on the campo dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Venice, in front of the basilica of San Zanipolo. It is the work of the Florentine sculptor Andrea Del Verrochio who worked on it from 1483 to 1488, and of Alessandro Leopardi, who cast it after his death.
This bronze of 40 cm is of the most beautiful effect. The charismatic rider with a haughty bearing stands straight on his mount. His finely chiseled armor is highlighted. He wears a helmet reflecting the light.
This work is a perfect testimony of the past. Its presence attracts the eyes and will seduce the lovers of Venetian art.
